Ok so had to redesigned the cab door central locking today, however annoying it was now the results were really good and the operation of the lock works very professionally. Check out the redesign here.

Ok so today Zander put his ear to my engine and with the help of diagnostics he had the engine running perfectly in under an hour. Thanks again Zander your a champ. Tomorrow I’m hosting a BBQ for friends to come over and wet sand my bus.

Bus started first time oh yeah! Running a little shitty but its running none the less. Think the Mass Air Flow Sensor is shot and maybe an ignition cable or spark plug but should be easy enough to fix.

So this weekend is the big one! Will all my hard work on the bus come to life as me and Zanda plus a host of on lookers plan to fire up my engine for the first time this Sunday. Personally I’m bricking myself at the thought of even trying but I have done everything in my knowledge and will to get it this far, now its time to cross every available limb and step up and turn the key. Watch this space for smiles or tears!

I have taken the week off to get some serious work done on the bus. Hoping to be close to firing her up by Sunday but experience tells me never to set too high of a goal and just roll with it and things will happen with some hard work. So other than one nut the engine is in place, thank god. I knew it would fit but you start to question yourself as things start to look tighter and tighter. The one nut that’s not 100% tight is the one on the starter motor which is normally tightened from the engine side but due to the adaptor plate it has to be tightened on the gearbox side. This is no easy task and I have been advised to use a socket called a crow’s foot to do the job as my arm is slowly bruising blue from leaning over the clutch cable trying to reach the nut in question. Since the tool shops in Edinburgh are totally lame it looks like I will be ordering one via the net tonight.

Engine mock fitted for the first time to gain some idea of clearance and mounting points. Looks so good stuffed in there, still a few body trims to do and create a route for the exhaust. Thank to Chris Hall for his skill, patients and Hercules type strength.

So now that the Lords Of Bastard video is out the way there is no rest for the wicked and I had begun picking apart the film Cool Hand Luke for the second of three projects with Vigilante. This one is for the track The Chase off of his up and coming release Cool Hand Luke Vs Talib Kweli. I really like this style of project, working with film shot by what I consider masters of cinema and making it my own to the score of a remixed masterpiece produced by a very competent producer. Really feeling it today, unmotivated by work not that I have ever been correctly motivated at work just lied to and kept in the dark. My skills and education just feels like its going to waste and I can’t wait to start over doing something I am appreciated for. Money also is getting me down, the lack of it is slowing down my bus project and being so close to finishing now its the hardest time to slow down. Most of all I’m missing Simone, being with her inspires and motivates me and without her I am just not complete or happy with the way my time is spent.

Really close to getting my engine in the bus, about time to I need to get to the US and see my wife. I miss her so bad it feels like a part of me left with her. “Baby I am working harder that I should to get with you asap, everything I do now while we are apart is to make our future that little bit easier.” Need £500 for a custom heating system and then the engine will get plumbed in, not sure where that money is coming from but as always I will find it some how.

Just back from London, another expensive weekend meeting with Uncle Sam’s reps auditioning for the freedom to live with my love on his land under his rules. The UK’s security level was clearly at its peek when trying to gain access to the embassy after being told that you can’t enter with a phone or even a set of headphones. Anyway all went quite well and now I have a few things to round off before the visa will be complete.

Stopped by with Vigilante tonight, with the pending release of Bullitt Vs Busta he started showing me what he’d been working on over the past months. After a preview and some ideas I left with a white label of his next two unmixed projects and am starting to slap together some rough cuts for two more videos. Will be a while till he lets me show you them but I will keep you informed.

Wiring has begun, first a replacement original VW Bus loom. Next comes my custom loom which includes alarm, central locking, side indicators and interior lights. Last of all when the engine arrives comes the Subaru loom this one I will admit has me a little worried.

Setup my health check up for US immigration on the 14th, the day after the Lord shoot. Not really looking forward to paying £190 to get multiple blood tests, chest xray and possible coughing with my manhood being cupped by a stranger. Fingers crossed he does not want to delve deeper.

Just had a meeting with Mike from Lord Of Bastard about a video shoot we have been talking about on and off for a couple of months. Date for the shoot has been set for the 13th of December and I am pumped to get in the studio and shoot this thing. Have to admit I’m more looking forward to the editing stage but we have come up with some simply yet fun ideas for the shoot and it promises to be a chunk of fun. Bring on the 14th...

So I had to say goodbye to my wife yesterday as she flew off to San Francisco, next time I see her “I hope” will be in a few months when I get my US immigration finalised. Without her I am incomplete, she has shown me so much over the five plus years we have been together, things about myself and the world it was so hard to take the time to notice without her eyes. For this I truly love her and can’t wait to have her by my side again.

There is not a piece of software to build websites available that I enjoy using, that may sound funny coming from someone who edits and produces video but I get a thrill from video production but webpage development just doesn’t do it for me.
